MARA IL PRO OVERVIEW

The Mara IL Pro is a amazingly well designed air shock that is built to a higher standard than its competition, taking no shortcuts to achieve unmatched performance and reliability. Smoother, more tunable and better suited to adapt to your specific needs, the Mara IL Pro must be ridden to be completely understood. Optimized for a wide variety of disciplines, the inline version of the Mara Pro shock eliminates the extra reservoir and in doing so makes for a lighter overall package that is even more versatile in regards to frame compatibility.

The Mara IL Pro utilizes not only the most sophisticated materials in its construction but incorporates independent circuits/oil paths for compression, rebound and platform. While infinitely more complex to design and produce, the separate circuit design of the Mara IL Pro eliminates cross contamination, representing a unique solution in the market for absolute clean tuning. Leading the design with this concept and adding a long list of performance innovations ensure the most complete, reliable, tunable and personlizeable solution possible.

The independent oil flow path core design mates with technologies such as the King Can with Balance Groove design and a new piston geometry make for amazing advancements in an already top performing air shock.

The Mara IL Pro comes in similar sizes to the Mara Pro PB and covers a wide variety of riding disciplines. The lack of the piggyback reservoir allows for this shock to shed weight while still offer perfect support and performance for the majority of riding styles.

KING CAN - Max Volume for Suspension fit for a King

The King Can represents Manitou’s largest volume can to date and the new design includes an active pos/neg system we call Balance Groove Technology. This design allows positive and negative pressures to equalize, providing great small bump compliance in the early part of the shock stroke. Such a design allows for great small bump compliance regardless of rider size. Additionally, positive and negative air volumes can be easily adjusted by the rider at his or her home by adding or removing the included volume spacers, without the need of any proprietary tools. This adjustment follows the same principle as the IVA system in Manitou forks and represents a high degree of versatility and autonomy in adjustment for the rider.

Work/Party Mode - Work Hard, Party Smooth

The Mara Pro rear shock has two separate damping circuits that can be activated or bypassed by the Work / Party mode lever. Having two separate circuits allows the rider to have two no-compromise options, for climbing and descending. Work mode is a preset independent damping circuit designed for climbing. Party mode is an externally adjustable high and low speed compression circuit. It offers a large range of tuning for a variety of riders and conditions.

Improved Internals for an Improved Experience in the saddle

A new compression piston and updated shim stacks were designed in conjunction with the Gen 2 Balance Groove Air Cans. The SKF Internal Floating Piston, shim stack redesign and new Gen 2 Air Can together provide improved small bump compliance along with support that can be tuned with the external compression adjusters and internal air volume adjustment.

Trail Specific Tune

The Mara IL Pro includes a trail specific tune designed for maximum shock responsiveness, making it perfect for aggressive riding. This tune gives the best feel in open small bump sensitivity. It increases compression across the adjuster range to a mid-firm platform that is great for pedaling up technical climbs where traction is balanced with pedaling efficiency.

COMPLETE PACKAGE - Full Optional Full Suspension

The new IPA shaft and its 4 position adjustment improves upon the shocks lockout performance but adds a great deal of versatility. Available in 30-65mm stroke lengths, the shock comes with a prestigious SKF Internal Floating Piston and includes Rebound with detents. Such a complete package of well thought out design, sophisticated solutions and creature comforts make for an Air Shock that leaves nothing to be desired.

Our IPA damper features four different positions ranging from an open mode ready to smash rocks to a firm platform mode for those hard climbs and all out double track sprints. Made with 7050 aerospace-grade aluminum the chassis is both lightweight and durable.
